WHAT IS HA ?
Hyaluronic acid is a molecule that occurs naturally in the human body. It is one of the main components of the extra-cellular matrix within the skin.
This molecule has excellent water-holding capacity (it can retain 1,000 times its own weight in moisture) and helps to give the skin youthful plumpness and tone. So, it really plays an important role in “supporting” the skin and this is why we witness many changes as we age, when the level and quality of the hyaluronic acid in our body decreases. The skin loses its elasticity, becomes drier and less plump.
By replenishing the declining levels of the body’s naturally occurring hyaluronic acid, fine lines and wrinkles can be corrected and skin density restored.
